- 3 cups uncooked macaroni pasta
- 1 lb lean ground beef
- 3 cups low sodium chicken or beef broth
- 2 cups tomato marinara sauce
- 2 tablespoons barbecue sauce
- 2 teaspoons Worcestershire sauce
- 1¼ teaspoons salt
- 1 teaspoon ground mustard
- ½ teaspoon garlic powder
- ½ teaspoon onion powder
- ¼ teaspoon black pepper
- 1½ cups shredded cheddar cheese
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 475°F (245°C).
- Grease a 9×13" baking dish.
- Place uncooked macaroni in the dish and crumble ground beef over it.
- Mix broth, marinara sauce, barbecue sauce, Worcestershire sauce, mustard, salt, garlic powder, onion powder, and black pepper in a bowl.
- Pour sauce mixture over beef and pasta.
- Cover with aluminum foil and bake for 20 minutes.
- Check for doneness; bake additional 5 minutes if needed.
- Top with cheddar cheese and bake uncovered for 5 minutes until bubbly.
- Let sit for a few minutes before serving.
Notes
Stir halfway through baking for even cooking.
Consider adding peppers or onions for enhanced flavor.
