  • 1 pound ground beef (85/15 lean)
  • 1/2 cup Italian bread crumbs
  • 1 large egg
  • 1/4 cup heavy cream
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/8 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/4 cup tomato sauce
  • 1/4 cup barbecue sauce

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • Sauté diced onion and bell pepper in olive oil until soft, about 5 minutes.
  • In a bowl, mix ground beef, bread crumbs, egg, cream, garlic powder, salt, and pepper, then fold in sautéed veggies.
  • Divide mixture into 12 portions, shape into balls, and place in greased muffin tin.
  • Mix tomato sauce and barbecue sauce, then spoon over meatballs.
  • Bake for 15-18 minutes until internal temperature reaches 160°F (70°C). Let rest for 5 minutes before serving.

Notes
