- 1 pound (450 g) cheese tortellini (fresh or frozen)
- 1/2 pound (225 g) Italian sausage, cooked and crumbled
- 1/2 cup (about 6 strips) cooked and crumbled bacon
- 1 cup pepperoni slices, halved
- 2 cups marinara or pizza sauce
- 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1/2 cup shredded Parmesan cheese
- Sliced black olives
- Diced green bell peppers
- Chopped fresh basil or parsley
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C) and grease a baking dish.
- Cook tortellini in a large pot of salted boiling water according to package instructions, then drain.
- In a bowl, combine marinara or pizza sauce with sausage, bacon, and half of the pepperoni.
- Layer sauce mixture, tortellini, remaining sauce mixture, mozzarella, and Parmesan in the baking dish.
- Cover with foil and bake for 20 minutes, then remove foil and bake for another 10-15 minutes until cheese is golden and bubbly.
- Garnish with olives, bell peppers, or herbs, and serve hot.
Notes
Use spicy Italian sausage for an added kick.
Ensure tortellini is cooked al dente to maintain texture after baking.
