  • 1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
  • Red or pink gel food coloring, if desired

Instructions

  • Gather all ingredients and measure accurately.
  • Prepare a 9 x 13 pan with cooking spray and coat with powdered sugar.
  • Bloom the gelatin in ⅓ cup of water for about 10 minutes.
  • Cook remaining water, sugar, corn syrup, and salt over medium-high heat to 240°F.
  • Add the hot mixture to the bloomed gelatin while mixing on low speed.
  • Spread the mixture into the prepared pan and press down evenly.
  • Let the marshmallow set for at least 1 hour until firm.
  • Cut out heart shapes using a wet cookie cutter and coat with powdered sugar.
