Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350º F and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Cream the softened butter with light brown and granulated sugar until fluffy.
- Add the egg, vanilla extract, and almond extract, mixing until combined.
- Incorporate pink gel food coloring until the dough is uniformly colored.
- Whisk flour and baking soda in a separate bowl, then gradually add to the wet ingredients.
- Fold in maraschino cherries and chocolate chips gently.
- Scoop dough onto the prepared baking sheet, spacing evenly.
- Bake for 12-15 minutes until edges are golden brown.
- Cool on the baking sheet for 5 minutes before transferring to a cooling rack.
