Ingredients

- 4 cod fillets
- 1 tsp salt
- 1 tsp pepper
- 4–5 tbsp unsalted butter
- 1 lemon
- 1 tbsp fresh chopped parsley
Instructions
- Pat cod fillets dry with a paper towel.
- Season fillets with salt and pepper.
- Melt 2 tbsp butter in a frying pan over medium heat.
- Cook cod for 2 minutes on each side until golden brown.
- Remove cod from the pan and keep warm.
- Add remaining butter to the pan and melt, then squeeze in lemon juice.
- Return cod to the pan and spoon sauce over it.
- Garnish with chopped parsley.
Notes
Monitor heat to prevent burning the butter when making the sauce.
Adjust lemon juice for desired tanginess.
