- 1 tbsp butter
- 1 garlic clove, minced
- 24 oz. marinara sauce (your favorite brand)
- 1/2 cup milk (any kind)
- 1/4 cup heavy cream
- 2 cups frozen peas
- 1 tsp red pepper flakes (adjust for spice level)
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese (optional, for serving)
Instructions
- Cook pasta according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
- In a large skillet, heat olive oil and sauté chicken sausage until browned, breaking it into pieces.
- Add butter and minced garlic, sautéing for about one minute.
- Stir in marinara sauce, milk, heavy cream, peas, red pepper flakes, salt, and pepper. Simmer for 2-3 minutes.
- Remove from heat and mix in the cooked pasta until thoroughly combined.
- Top with grated Parmesan cheese before serving.
Notes
For a lighter meal, substitute chicken sausage with turkey or plant-based options.
Add vegetables like bell peppers or spinach for added nutrients.
