- 1 cup (200 g) granulated sugar
- 5 tablespoons (70 g) butter
- 3 cups (710 ml) heavy cream

- 1 pinch of table salt
- 2 tablespoons (28 g) melted butter (for topping)
- 2 tablespoons (24 g) granulated sugar (for topping)
- 1 teaspoon (2 g) ground cinnamon (for topping)
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 425°F (220°C).
- Roll out the pie crust and place it in the pie pan.
- Pre-bake the crust for 15 minutes, then reduce the temperature and bake for another 5 minutes.
- Combine sugar and cornstarch in a saucepan.
- Add heavy cream and butter, whisking over medium heat until it boils.
- Remove from heat and stir in vanilla and salt.
- Pour the filling into the cooled pie crust.
- Drizzle with melted butter and sprinkle topping mixture.
- Bake for 20-25 minutes and broil for 1 minute.
