- 30 oz canned peaches in fruit juice, drained
- 2 – 3 Tbsp bourbon
- 1 Tbsp cornstarch
- 1 tsp ground cinnamon
- 1/4 cup granulated sugar (for filling)
- 3/4 cup granulated sugar (for topping)
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 tsp baking powder
- 1/8 tsp ground nutmeg
- 1/4 tsp kosher salt
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
Instructions
- Combine drained peaches, bourbon, cornstarch, cinnamon, and sugar in a bowl.
- Pour peach mixture into a greased 2-quart baking dish.
- Whisk together flour, 3/4 cup sugar, baking powder, nutmeg, and salt in a separate bowl.
- Stir melted butter and vanilla into the dry mixture until crumbly.
- Distribute topping over peaches in the baking dish.
- Bake at 350°F for about 25 minutes until golden brown and bubbling.
- Cool for 10-15 minutes before serving.
Notes
Fresh or frozen peaches can be used; adjust sugar if using fresh.
Melted butter should be warm but not hot when mixed.
Let the cobbler cool slightly before serving for better flavor.
