Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour (add more as necessary)
  • 3 tablespoons white sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 tablespoon instant yeast
  • 3/4 cup warm water
  • 2 1/2 tablespoons softened butter (plus more for brushing)

  • Let it rise again, covered, for 1.5 hours.
  • Preheat oven to 375°F, brush dough with butter and sprinkle seasoning.

Notes

Ensure the water is warm, not hot, to activate the yeast properly.
For the best results, use a thermometer; bread is done when it reaches 190°F.
