Instructions
- Combine warm water, sugar, and yeast in a stand mixer. Let sit until frothy.
- Add olive oil, salt, and half flour to the yeast mixture. Mix on low.
- Gradually add remaining flour until the dough pulls away from the bowl.
- Cover and let rise for 30 minutes.
- Divide and shape dough into loaves on a floured surface.
- Let loaves rise for 30-40 minutes on a baking sheet.
- Preheat oven to 375°F and prepare an egg wash.
- Score loaves and bake for 20-25 minutes until golden brown.
- Cool on a wire rack before slicing.
