Ingredients

  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/4 teaspoon flaky sea salt (for finishing)

Instructions

  • Gather all ingredients and tools.
  • Melt the butter, then add sugars, syrup, condensed milk, and salt in a heavy-bottomed saucepan over medium heat.
  • Stir until combined and cook to 238°F on a candy thermometer.
  • Remove from heat and mix in vanilla.
  • Pour into a buttered 9" x 13" baking dish, sprinkle with flaky sea salt, and cool before cutting.

Stir constantly while cooking to avoid burning.
