  • Total Time: 1 hour 25 minutes
  • Yield: 6 servings 1x

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 pound ground ham
  • 1 pound ground pork
  • 1 egg beaten
  • 1 cup panko bread crumbs
  • ½ cup milk
  • ½ teaspoon ground pepper
  • 1 cup brown sugar packed
  • 1 tablespoon dry mustard
  • ¼ cup vinegar

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F. Spray a 9×13 inch baking dish with non-stick spray and set it aside.
  2. Grind the ham in a food processor until fine.
  3. In a large bowl, combine the ground ham, ground pork, beaten egg, panko crumbs, milk, and pepper, mixing well.
  4. Take about ⅓ cup of the mixture and roll it into a ball. Repeat to form 12 ham balls and place them in the greased baking dish.
  5. In a small bowl, mix the glaze ingredients until well blended.
  6. Pour the glaze over the ham balls in the baking dish.
  7. Bake for 45-50 minutes, or until golden and the internal temperature reads 160°F.
  8. Serve immediately.

Notes

Make sure to grind the ham thoroughly for the best texture.
You can adjust the sweetness of the glaze by adding more or less brown sugar.
Serve with your favorite sides like mashed potatoes or green beans.
