- 2 tablespoons butter
- 20 large marshmallows
- 1/4 teaspoon cinnamon
- 1/8 teaspoon nutmeg
- 3 drops yellow food coloring
- 1 drop red food coloring
- 1/4 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 3 cups Rice Krispies cereal
- 1/2 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
- 2 more tablespoons butter (for chocolate layer)
- 3/4 cup chopped Halloween candy
Instructions
- Melt butter and marshmallows in a saucepan over medium heat, stirring until smooth.
- Remove from heat and stir in cinnamon, nutmeg, and vanilla extract.
- Fold in Rice Krispies cereal until everything is coated.
- Press the mixture into a greased 8×8-inch dish.
- Melt chocolate chips and additional butter in a bowl, stirring until smooth.
- Spread the melted chocolate over the cooled Rice Krispie base and top with Halloween candy.
- Allow to cool and set, then cut into squares.
Notes
Grease your hands when pressing the mixture into the dish for easier handling.
Let the chocolate layer harden completely for clean cuts.
