- 1/4 cup Milk
- 2 slices Whole Wheat Bread, broken into small pieces
- 2 Tablespoons Worcestershire Sauce
- 1/4 cup Grated Onion
- 1 clove Garlic, finely minced
- 1/4 cup Good Quality BBQ Sauce
- 1 whole Egg
- 1 pound Ground Beef (80% Lean)
- Garlic Salt, to taste
- 1/2 cup Prepared Ketchup
- 1 Tablespoon Mustard
- 2 Tablespoons Brown Sugar
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a large bowl, soak bread in milk.
- Mix in Worcestershire sauce, grated onion, minced garlic, BBQ sauce, egg, ground beef, and garlic salt.
- Shape the mixture into eight oval meatballs and flatten the bottoms slightly.
- Score the top of each meatball with a toothpick to resemble brains.
- Mix ketchup, mustard, brown sugar, and remaining BBQ sauce in a separate bowl.
- Spoon sauce over each meatball.
- Bake for 20-25 minutes until cooked through.
Notes
Avoid overmixing the ground beef for tender meatballs.
Use high-quality BBQ sauce for the best flavor.
