Ingredients

  • 1/4 cup Milk
  • 2 slices Whole Wheat Bread, broken into small pieces
  • 2 Tablespoons Worcestershire Sauce
  • 1/4 cup Grated Onion
  • 1 clove Garlic, finely minced
  • 1/4 cup Good Quality BBQ Sauce
  • 1 whole Egg
  • 1 pound Ground Beef (80% Lean)
  • Garlic Salt, to taste
  • 1/2 cup Prepared Ketchup
  • 1 Tablespoon Mustard
  • 2 Tablespoons Brown Sugar

Instructions

  • Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • In a large bowl, soak bread in milk.
  • Mix in Worcestershire sauce, grated onion, minced garlic, BBQ sauce, egg, ground beef, and garlic salt.
  • Shape the mixture into eight oval meatballs and flatten the bottoms slightly.
  • Score the top of each meatball with a toothpick to resemble brains.
  • Mix ketchup, mustard, brown sugar, and remaining BBQ sauce in a separate bowl.
  • Spoon sauce over each meatball.
  • Bake for 20-25 minutes until cooked through.

Notes

Avoid overmixing the ground beef for tender meatballs.
