  • 1 teaspoon toasted sesame seeds
  • 1 tablespoon finely chopped green onion
  • ½ teaspoon vegetable oil (or any neutral oil)
  • Optional toppings: Kimchi, canned tuna, roasted seaweed flakes, avocado, sautéed carrots, spinach, zucchini, or other proteins

Instructions

  • Combine hot cooked rice with butter in a bowl until well mixed.
  • Heat vegetable oil in a pan and fry the egg sunny-side-up.
  • Transfer buttered rice to a bowl and place the fried egg on top.
  • Garnish with sesame seeds, drizzle with sesame oil, add green onions, and pour soy sauce.
  • Mix before serving to blend flavors and enjoy!
