- 2 heads of Romaine lettuce
- 1/3 cup olive oil
- ½ tsp garlic powder
- ½ tsp dried thyme
- ½ tsp crushed rosemary
- Kosher salt, to taste
- Fresh ground pepper, to taste
- ½ cup Asiago cheese, grated
Instructions
- Preheat the grill to medium-hot.
- Rinse and slice the romaine heads in half vertically.
- Combine olive oil, garlic powder, thyme, rosemary, salt, and pepper in a bowl.
- Brush lettuce halves with the olive oil mixture and place cut side up on the grill.
- Grill until the cut side is slightly charred, then flip and brush the other side.
- Sprinkle with grated Asiago cheese and remove from the grill.
Notes
Ensure the grill is hot enough for a good char while keeping the leaves intact.
Consider adding a squeeze of fresh lemon juice for added zing.
