- 3 ripe plantains (still firm)
- 2 tablespoons coconut oil
Instructions
- Preheat the grill to high (around 500°F).
- Cut the ends off each plantain, slice the skin lengthwise, and remove it.
- Chop each peeled plantain in half horizontally, then cut each half vertically into three pieces.
- Brush one side of each piece with coconut oil and place them oil-side down on the grill.
- Grill for 4-6 minutes, brushing tops with more coconut oil and keeping an eye on doneness.
- Flip the plantains and grill until golden brown and tender.
Notes
Choose ripe but firm plantains for the best texture.
Experiment with additional spices like cinnamon or chili powder for flavor.
Maintain consistent heat on the grill for even cooking.
