- 1/2 teaspoon sage, fresh chopped or dried
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 1½ cups chicken broth
- 2 large eggs
- 1 tablespoon parsley, chopped (for garnish)
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 250 degrees F and bake dry bread cubes for about an hour.
- In a large pot, melt butter, then sauté onion and celery until tender.
- Add poultry seasoning, thyme, sage, salt, and pepper; mix in chicken broth.
- Allow mixture to cool slightly before stirring in whisked eggs.
- Combine dried bread cubes with the broth mixture and adjust moisture if needed.
- Spread stuffing in a greased baking dish and bake at 350 degrees F for 45 to 60 minutes, stirring occasionally.
- Garnish with parsley before serving.

Using day-old bread enhances texture and flavor absorption.
