  • 2 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 2 cloves garlic (grated or minced)
  • 1/2 of a lemon (juiced)
  • 23 tablespoons grated parmesan cheese
  • Chopped flat-leaf parsley (for garnish)

Instructions

  • Cut chicken into 1-inch pieces and place in a mixing bowl.
  • Season the chicken with salt, black pepper, Italian seasoning, garlic powder, and red pepper flakes.
  • Preheat a skillet over medium-high heat and add olive oil.
  • Add chicken to the skillet in a single layer and cook without stirring for 3-4 minutes.
  • Flip the chicken and continue cooking until browned but not fully cooked.
  • Add butter and minced garlic, tossing until chicken is coated and cooked through.
  • Squeeze lemon juice into the skillet, sprinkle parmesan, and garnish with parsley.

Notes

Make sure the skillet is hot before adding chicken for the best sear.
Avoid overcrowding the skillet; cook in batches if necessary.
Leftovers can be stored in an airtight container for up to 3 days.
