Ingredients
Scale
- 3 large eggs
- 1 tablespoon (13g) granulated sugar
- 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1 cup (237ml) milk
- ½ teaspoon vanilla extract
- 9–11 slices bread brioche, white bread, etc
- 1 tablespoon (14g) unsalted butter optional
Instructions
- In a medium bowl, whisk the eggs until fully mixed and no egg white pieces remain.
- Stir in the sugar, cinnamon, milk, and vanilla extract until well combined.
- Transfer the mixture into a shallow dish, like a pie plate.
- Preheat a griddle to 350°F or heat a frying pan over medium heat. Optionally, add butter or use nonstick cooking spray.
- Dip each slice of bread in the egg mixture, ensuring both sides are coated. Allow excess mixture to drip off and place on the hot griddle or pan.
- Cook each slice for about 4-5 minutes on one side, then flip and cook for an additional 3-4 minutes, or until both sides are golden brown and the center is cooked through.
- Serve hot with maple syrup.
Notes
Use any type of bread you prefer, like brioche or white bread.
For extra flavor, consider adding a pinch of nutmeg or a splash of orange zest to the egg mixture.
Serve with fresh fruit or whipped cream for an indulgent touch.
