- 1 tsp Cornstarch
- 1/2 tsp Salt
- 1 tsp Nutmeg
- 1 tsp Ground Ginger
- 1/3 tsp Ground Cloves
- 1 tsp Cinnamon
- 1/4 cup Gold Sanding Sugar
- 2 tbsp Salted Butter (room temperature)
- 1/4 cup Sugar
- 1/2 cup Eggnog
- 1 1/2 cups Powdered Sugar
- 1/8 tsp Nutmeg (for icing)
Instructions
- Mix cold butter and brown sugar until creamy.
- Add egg and molasses, blend until fluffy.
- Whisk dry ingredients separately.
- Combine wet and dry mixtures gently.
- Chill the dough for at least 2 hours.
- Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Scoop and roll dough, then coat in gold sugar.
- Flatten dough balls and bake for 10 minutes.
- Prepare the eggnog icing and cool the mixture.
- Whisk in powdered sugar and assemble cookies.
Notes
Ensure to use cold butter for the best texture.
Chilling the dough is important for maintaining cookie shape.
