- 12 ounces fresh raspberries
- 1/3 cup sugar (plus additional for lemonade)
- 1 teaspoon lemon juice
- 1/2 tablespoon corn starch
- 2 tablespoons water
- 1 1/2 cups freshly squeezed lemon juice (from about 7 large lemons)
- 1 3/4 cups white sugar
- 8 cups water
Instructions
- Combine fresh raspberries, 1 teaspoon lemon juice, and 1/3 cup sugar in a saucepan.
- Heat over medium, stirring frequently until simmering.
- Mix 1/2 tablespoon corn starch with 2 tablespoons water, add to saucepan to thicken, then cool.
- In another saucepan, combine 1 3/4 cups sugar and 1 cup water, boil until sugar dissolves, then cool.
- Mix 1 1/2 cups lemon juice, 7 cups water, and the chilled sugar syrup in a pitcher.
- Serve with raspberry sauce, ice, and enjoy.
Notes
Use fresh, ripe raspberries for best flavor.
Adjust sugar according to your taste preference.
Prepare the raspberry sauce ahead of time for ease.
