  • 1 tbsp cornstarch
  • 1/2 cup sliced almonds
  • 1/2 cup confectioner’s sugar
  • 1 to 2 tbsp cream
  • 1/4 tsp almond extract

Instructions

  • Gather all ingredients.
  • Preheat oven to 350°F (177°C) and prepare loaf pan.
  • Mix wet ingredients in a large bowl.
  • Combine dry ingredients separately and sift into wet mixture.
  • Toss cherries in cornstarch and fold into batter.
  • Transfer batter to loaf pan, sprinkle with reserved cherries and almonds.
  • Bake for 50 to 60 minutes until toothpick comes out clean.
  • Cool completely on a wire rack and glaze with confectioner's sugar mixture.
