Instructions
- Harvest dandelion petals from a clean area, discarding green parts.
- Combine petals, water, and lemon in a saucepan; bring to a boil and simmer for 30 minutes.
- Let the mixture steep for 6 to 12 hours.
- Strain the mixture using a fine mesh strainer or cheesecloth.
- Return liquid to saucepan, add sugar, and simmer until thickened (30 to 60 minutes).
- Pour syrup into sterilized jars and cool before refrigerating.
Notes
Ensure dandelions are harvested from pesticide-free areas.
Adjust sugar according to taste preferences for sweetness.
Allow adequate steeping time for deeper flavor.
