- 1 pound lean ground beef
- 1 (1-ounce) package taco seasoning
- 4 large (burrito-sized) tortillas
- 3/4 cup nacho cheese sauce, warmed
- 4 tostada shells
- 1/2 cup sour cream
- 2 cups shredded lettuce
- 1 cup chopped tomatoes
- 1/4 cup taco sauce
- 4 small (taco-sized) tortillas
- 1 1/2 cups shredded cheddar cheese (or Mexican blend cheese)
- Oil for frying
Instructions
- Cook ground beef in a skillet until no longer pink, drain excess liquid, and add taco seasoning with water.
- Seasoned beef should be set aside for assembly.
- Prepare work surface with ingredients for assembly.
- Layer ground beef, nacho cheese, toppings on large tortillas and cover with small tortillas.
- Fold and seal large tortillas around small ones, ensuring all ingredients are enclosed.
- Heat oil in skillet, cook wrapped tortillas seam-side down until crispy and golden brown on both sides.
- Cut wraps in half and serve.
Notes
Ensure the skillet is hot for a crispy texture.
Press down gently on the wraps while cooking for even toasting.
Leftovers should be stored in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 3 days.
