- 8 ounces penne pasta, uncooked (½ pound)

- 1 (15-ounce) can tomato sauce
- 2 tablespoons tomato paste
- ½ cup heavy cream
- ½ cup grated Parmesan cheese
- ½ teaspoon salt (or to taste)
- ¼ teaspoon ground black pepper
- 1 tablespoon fresh parsley, finely chopped
Instructions
- Boil salted water and cook penne until al dente, about 10 minutes.
- In a skillet, melt butter and sauté minced garlic until fragrant.
- Add tomato sauce and tomato paste; simmer for 4-5 minutes.
- Stir in heavy cream and Parmesan; cook until thickened, about 3 minutes.
- Toss in cooked penne and coat with sauce.
- Garnish with parsley before serving.
Notes
Always salt your pasta water to enhance the flavor.
Adjust cream and cheese for sauce thickness to your taste.
Add red pepper flakes for a hint of spice if desired.
