- ½ cup milk
- 1 stick unsalted butter
- 1½ teaspoons granulated sugar
- ¼ teaspoon table salt
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- ¼ teaspoon almond extract (optional)
- 4 large eggs
- Powdered sugar (for garnish)
- 1½ cups whipped cream
- 18–24 slices strawberries
- Nutella chocolate hazelnut spread
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 425°F and prepare baking sheets.
- In a saucepan, mix water, milk, butter, sugar, and salt. Bring to a boil.
- Remove from heat, add flour, and stir until a cohesive dough forms.
- Return to low heat and stir for another minute.
- Transfer dough to a mixing bowl and use a mixer to cool it down.
- Add eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition.
- Pipe dough onto prepared baking sheets.
- Bake at 425°F for 10 minutes, then reduce heat to 350°F and bake for 12-18 minutes until golden brown.
- Cool completely on a cooling rack.
- Slice each puff in half, fill with Nutella, whipped cream, and strawberries, then top with the other half.
- Sprinkle with powdered sugar before serving.
Notes
Ensure butter is fully melted before adding flour for the best texture.
Do not open the oven during baking to maintain temperature.
Store in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 2 days.
