- 12 ounces fresh or frozen cranberries
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1/3 cup fresh orange juice
- 1/3 cup water
- 1 tablespoon freshly grated orange zest
Instructions
- In a medium saucepan, combine cranberries, sugar, orange juice, water, and orange zest.
- Place over medium heat until boiling while stirring occasionally.
- Reduce heat and let simmer for about 8 minutes, allowing cranberries to burst.
- Remove from heat and cool for about an hour.
- Transfer to a serving bowl and enjoy.
Notes
For a thicker sauce, let it simmer longer.
Use fresh orange juice for the best flavor.
