- 8 slices bacon, cooked and crumbled
- ¼ cup brown sugar (optional)
- 2 cans (28 ounces each) baked beans (Bush's Original is recommended)
- ½ cup barbecue sauce
- 2 tablespoons Dijon mustard
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F.
- In a heavy-bottom pot, sauté ground beef, onion, bell pepper, garlic salt, and onion powder until beef is no longer pink, then drain excess liquid.
- Mix in crumbled bacon, brown sugar, baked beans, barbecue sauce, and Dijon mustard.
- Cover pot and bake in the oven for about 1 hour until hot and bubbly.
- Serve warm.

Drain the ground beef well to avoid a watery dish.
