Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup salted butter
  • 1/2 cup buttermilk
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup corn syrup

  • 1 teaspoon coconut extract

Instructions

  • Combine butter, buttermilk, sugar, and corn syrup in a saucepan; bring to a boil.
  • Boil for 2-3 minutes, stirring continuously.
  • Remove from heat and whisk in baking soda, vanilla extract, and coconut extract.
  • Let the syrup cool for 5 minutes before serving.

Notes

Stir continuously to prevent sticking while boiling.
