- 1/2 cup buttermilk

- 1 teaspoon coconut extract
Instructions
- Combine butter, buttermilk, sugar, and corn syrup in a saucepan; bring to a boil.
- Boil for 2-3 minutes, stirring continuously.
- Remove from heat and whisk in baking soda, vanilla extract, and coconut extract.
- Let the syrup cool for 5 minutes before serving.
Notes
Stir continuously to prevent sticking while boiling.
Cool the syrup slightly before pouring into containers to thicken it.
Store in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 4 weeks.
