- 16 oz Mascarpone cheese
- 1 cup heavy whipping cream
- 3 tbsp white granulated sugar (for whipping cream)
- 1/2 cup white granulated sugar (for egg yolks)
- 6 large egg yolks
- 2 tbsp Amaretto liqueur
- 10 oz hard Ladyfingers cookies
- 1 1/2 cups cold espresso
- 2 tbsp Cocoa Powder (for dusting)
Instructions
- Beat heavy cream with sugar until stiff peaks form; refrigerate.
- Combine egg yolks and sugar in a double boiler, whisk until thick.
- Stir in Amaretto, then fold in mascarpone and whipped cream.
- Dip ladyfingers in espresso and arrange in a baking dish.
- Layer half of the mascarpone mixture over ladyfingers, then the rest of the dipped ladyfingers.
- Top with remaining mascarpone mixture and dust with cocoa powder.
- Chill for at least 6 hours, preferably overnight.
Notes
Use quality espresso for the best flavor.
Allow plenty of refrigeration time for flavor melding.
Ensure whipped cream is well whipped for optimal texture.
