Instructions
- Peel and core the apples, squeeze lemon juice to prevent browning, and chop into bite-sized pieces.
- Melt butter in a high-sided pan over low heat.
- Mix brown sugar, white sugar, and cinnamon into the melted butter and stir for 2 minutes.
- Add chopped apples and coat them in the sugary mixture.
- Cook the apples on low-medium heat for 12-14 minutes, stirring occasionally until softened but not mushy.
- Serve warm, optionally pairing with vanilla ice cream or yogurt.
Notes
Mix different apple varieties for a more complex flavor.
Adjust cinnamon to taste based on your preference.
