- 6 sticks string cheese, each cut into 4 pieces
- 2 tablespoons milk
- 1 teaspoon garlic salt
- 3 tablespoons grated Parmesan cheese
- 2 tablespoons melted butter
Instructions
- Combine warm water, yeast, and sugar in a bowl. Let sit for 5 minutes until bubbly.
- Add vegetable oil, egg, and salt to the yeast mixture. Mix well.
- Gradually add flour while mixing until the dough pulls away from the bowl.
- Cover and let the dough rise until doubled in size (30-45 minutes).
- Divide the risen dough into 21 equal pieces.
- Roll each piece into a ball, placing a chunk of string cheese inside.
- Arrange the dough balls in a Christmas tree shape on a baking sheet.
- Brush the balls with milk, sprinkle with garlic salt and Parmesan, and let rise again.
- Bake in a preheated oven at 350°F for 12-15 minutes until golden brown.
- Brush with melted butter after baking and serve warm.
