- White chocolate chips or candy melts
- Green food coloring (gel or powder)
- Pocky, pretzel sticks, or breadsticks
- 2½ Ounces unsalted butter, at room temperature (for frosting)
- 8 Ounces powdered sugar
- 1 Tablespoon warm milk, if needed
- Sweetened shredded coconut (for decoration)
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and line cupcake pan with paper liners.
- Sift flour, baking powder, cocoa powder, baking soda, and salt in a bowl.
- Cream together butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
- Add eggs, vanilla extract, and milk; mix until smooth.
- Gradually combine dry and wet ingredients; mix gently.
- Divide batter into cupcake liners, filling two-thirds full.
- Bake for 18 to 20 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean; cool on a wire rack.
- To make frosting, beat together butter and powdered sugar; adjust with warm milk if too thick.
- Frost cooled cupcakes and roll tops in shredded coconut.
- Melt white chocolate or candy melts, add green food coloring.
- Create decorations using Pocky sticks dipped in chocolate and chill to set.
- Assemble cupcakes with chocolate trees and additional decorations.

Gel food coloring gives a vibrant green color for decoration.
