  • Pocky, pretzel sticks, or breadsticks
  • 2½ Ounces unsalted butter, at room temperature (for frosting)
  • 8 Ounces powdered sugar
  • 1 Tablespoon warm milk, if needed
  • Sweetened shredded coconut (for decoration)

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and line cupcake pan with paper liners.
  • Sift flour, baking powder, cocoa powder, baking soda, and salt in a bowl.
  • Cream together butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
  • Add eggs, vanilla extract, and milk; mix until smooth.
  • Gradually combine dry and wet ingredients; mix gently.
  • Divide batter into cupcake liners, filling two-thirds full.
  • Bake for 18 to 20 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean; cool on a wire rack.
  • To make frosting, beat together butter and powdered sugar; adjust with warm milk if too thick.
  • Frost cooled cupcakes and roll tops in shredded coconut.
  • Melt white chocolate or candy melts, add green food coloring.
  • Create decorations using Pocky sticks dipped in chocolate and chill to set.
  • Assemble cupcakes with chocolate trees and additional decorations.
