  • 1 Large egg (room temperature)
  • 1 tsp Pure vanilla extract
  • 1 cup Unsalted butter (slightly cold)
  • 1 TBSP Pure vanilla extract
  • 3 cups Powdered sugar (sifted)
  • 1/2 tsp Salt
  • 3 TBSP Heavy cream
  • Extra sprinkles for topping

Instructions

  • Sift together all-purpose flour, baking powder, baking soda, salt, and Christmas sprinkles.
  • Beat unsalted butter, white granulated sugar, and brown sugar until creamy.
  • Add the egg and vanilla extract, mixing until well combined.
  • Combine wet and dry ingredients carefully to avoid overmixing.
  • Chill the dough in the refrigerator for 30 minutes.
  • Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and prepare baking sheets.
  • Scoop and roll the dough into balls, placing them on baking sheets.
  • Bake for 13-15 minutes until edges are golden.
  • Cool on baking sheets for 5 minutes before transferring to a cooling rack.
  • Prepare whipped frosting by beating softened butter and gradually adding sifted powdered sugar.
  • Mix in vanilla extract, salt, and heavy cream until fluffy.
  • Frost cooled cookies and add extra sprinkles.
