  • 1 box (3 oz) lime gelatin
  • 2 cups boiling water
  • 1 cup cold water
  • 1 container (8 oz) whipped topping, thawed
  • Christmas Peeps for decoration
  • Additional Christmas sprinkles for garnish

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×13 inch baking dish.
  • Prepare the cake mix according to instructions, adding egg whites, vegetable oil, and water.
  • Mix in Christmas sprinkles, pour into the baking dish, and bake for 30-35 minutes.
  • Cool the cake for 20 minutes. Prepare cherry and lime gelatin mixes separately.
  • Poke holes in the cooled cake, alternating pouring cherry and lime gelatin into the holes.
  • Refrigerate for 3-4 hours to set, then frost with whipped topping.
  • Garnish with additional sprinkles and Christmas Peeps before serving.
