Instructions
- Prepare nut filling by combining walnuts, pecans, and cinnamon in a bowl.
- Preheat the oven to 250°F (120°C) and grease a baking dish with melted butter.
- Layer two sheets of phyllo in the dish, brushing with butter, then sprinkle with nuts.
- Repeat the layers and finish with a top layer of phyllo brushed with butter.
- Cut the assembled baklava into diamonds or squares.
- Bake for 45-47 minutes until golden brown.
- Make syrup by warming honey, vanilla, and lemon zest in a saucepan.
- Pour warm syrup over the baked baklava and let it cool for at least 10 minutes.

Brush every layer generously with melted butter for a flaky texture.
