- 2 cups heavy cream (for whipped topping)

- ½ cup unsweetened cocoa powder (40g)
- ⅛ teaspoon salt
- ½ teaspoon vanilla extract
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Prepare a 9×13-inch baking dish with nonstick spray.
- Prepare the chocolate cake mix as per the box instructions and bake for 30-35 minutes.
- Allow the cake to cool completely and poke holes all over the top.
- Heat heavy cream and chocolate chips in a saucepan until smooth.
- Pour the ganache over the cooled cake, spreading evenly into the holes.
- Whip reserved heavy cream until soft peaks form; add sugar, cocoa powder, salt, and vanilla.
- Spread the whipped cream over the ganache layer evenly.
Notes
Ensure the cake cools completely before adding ganache and whipped cream to prevent melting.
Whip the cream until stiff peaks form to maintain topping structure.
For variety, consider using dark or white chocolate chips in the ganache.
