Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and prepare a baking sheet.
- Whisk together sugar, oil, eggs, vanilla, and salt until smooth.
- Sift in cocoa powder and baking powder, mixing until combined.
- Add flour and stir until just combined.
- Roll dough into balls and coat with crushed candy canes.
- Arrange on the baking sheet, flatten slightly, and bake for 10-11 minutes.
- Press a peppermint kiss into the center of each cookie after cooling slightly.
- Transfer cookies to a wire rack to cool completely.
