- ½ teaspoon salt
- 1 ½ cups (186g) all-purpose flour
- 1 ½ cups (255g) semi-sweet or milk chocolate chips
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F and prepare a 9×13” metal pan with foil and cooking spray.
- Melt unsweetened baking chocolate and unsalted butter in a microwave-safe bowl.
- Stir in granulated sugar, then add eggs one at a time. Mix in vanilla, salt, and cocoa powder.
- Fold in all-purpose flour until just combined.
- For the cookie dough, cream melted butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar.
- Add egg and vanilla extract, then mix in baking soda, salt, and all-purpose flour.
- Fold in chocolate chips.
- Spread brownie batter in prepared pan, then layer cookie dough on top.
- Bake for 28-35 minutes until the top is dark golden.
- Serve warm, optionally with vanilla ice cream or chocolate sauce.
Notes
Ensure all ingredients are at room temperature for a smoother batter.
Do not overmix the brownie batter for a fudgy texture.
Press the cookie dough gently to avoid disturbing the brownie layer.
