  • 24 ounces (3 cups) marinara sauce
  • 1/3 cup shredded Parmesan cheese

  • 1 1/2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese

Instructions

  • Boil water in a large pot.
  • Cook penne pasta until al dente according to package directions, then drain and reserve 1/2 cup pasta water.
  • Season chicken with salt and pepper, then sauté in olive oil until cooked through.
  • Add marinara sauce, Italian seasoning, garlic powder, and Parmesan to the skillet with chicken.
  • Fold in the drained pasta and reserved water, simmering for 4-5 minutes.
  • Top with mozzarella cheese, cover, and let sit for about 5 minutes to melt.

Notes
