  • Total Time: 1 hour
  • Yield: 6 servings 1x

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1/2 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 1/2 teaspoon dried basil
  • 1/2 teaspoon dried parsley
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 24 ounces marinara sauce
  • 24 ounces fresh refrigerated cheese tortellini
  • 2 cups shredded mozzarella divided
  • 2 ounces cream cheese
  • fresh minced parsley or basil for garnish

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F and grease a 9×13-inch baking dish, setting it aside.
  2. In a large skillet, brown the ground beef over medium-high heat until fully cooked. Drain excess grease.
  3. Mix in the marinara sauce, oregano, basil, parsley, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and black pepper, cooking for about a minute.
  4. Add the fresh tortellini, cream cheese, and 1 cup of mozzarella into the skillet, stirring until the cream cheese melts completely and all ingredients are combined.
  5. Transfer the mixture to the prepared baking dish or bake directly in the skillet if oven-safe.
  6. Top with the remaining 1 cup of mozzarella and cover tightly with nonstick foil.
  7. Bake for 30 to 35 minutes, until the tortellini is tender and cheese has melted.
  8. Remove the foil and bake for an additional 5 to 10 minutes, or broil for 2 to 3 minutes, watching closely for browning.
  9. Allow to rest for 5 minutes before serving and garnish with fresh minced parsley or basil if desired.
