- 1/2 cup Light Corn Syrup
- 1 tsp Salt
- 1 tbsp Vanilla Extract
- 1 tsp Baking Soda
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 200°F (93°C).
- Spread puff corn in a large roasting pan.
- Combine brown sugar, butter, corn syrup, and salt in a saucepan and bring to a boil.
- Remove from heat and stir in vanilla and baking soda.
- Pour caramel over puff corn and gently stir to coat.
- Bake for 1 hour, stirring every 15 minutes.
- Cool on parchment paper and break into pieces.
Notes
Avoid over-stirring the caramel for best texture.
Using fresh puff corn ensures a lighter result.
