- 4 cups chopped green cabbage

- 3 (8 oz.) cans tomato sauce
- 1/2 cup uncooked white rice
- 1 bay leaf
- 3 tbsp. light brown sugar
- 2 tbsp. fresh chopped parsley
Instructions
- Heat vegetable oil in a large pot over medium-high heat.
- Brown the ground beef, seasoning with salt and pepper.
- Sauté onions and garlic for 2-3 minutes.
- Stir in cabbage and carrots until mixed.
- Add beef broth, tomato sauce, rice, and bay leaf; stir well.
- Bring to a simmer, cover, and cook for about 25 minutes.
- Remove the bay leaf, mix in brown sugar, and garnish with parsley before serving.
Notes
Adjust seasoning as desired, adding more spices or herbs.
Consider incorporating crushed red pepper flakes for added heat.
Cut cabbage into uniform pieces for even cooking.
