- 1 lb pizza dough (homemade or store-bought)
- 2 medium chicken breasts, diced
- ½ cup buffalo hot sauce
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- ½ cup bleu cheese or ranch dressing
- Flour and cornmeal for preparing the dough
- 1½ cups shredded sharp white cheddar cheese
- 1½ cups shredded mozzarella cheese
- Egg wash (1 egg beaten with 1 tablespoon water)
- Extra buffalo hot sauce or dressing for dipping
Instructions
- Marinate chicken with buffalo sauce in a plastic bag and refrigerate for at least 6 hours.
- Heat olive oil in a skillet and cook marinated chicken until done, then mix with bleu cheese or ranch dressing.
- Preheat the oven to 475°F and prepare a baking sheet.
- Divide pizza dough into six balls, roll each into a round, and fill with chicken and cheese.
- Seal calzones, brush with egg wash, and cut a small slit on top.
- Bake in the oven for 11-13 minutes until golden brown.
- Let cool, slice, and serve with extra sauce for dipping.
Notes
Allow chicken to marinate for enhanced flavor.
Keep an eye on calzones while baking to prevent overcooking.
