Ingredients

  • ¾ cup evaporated milk

  • 3 tablespoons butter

  • ½ cup chopped walnuts (optional)

Instructions

  • Line a square pan with parchment paper and coat with cooking spray.
  • In a saucepan, combine evaporated milk, light brown sugar, and corn syrup over medium-low heat, stirring until dissolved.
  • Increase heat to medium-high and boil until reaching 230°F on a candy thermometer.
  • Remove from heat, add butter, and cool to around 200°F.
  • Mix in chopped walnuts until the mixture loses its gloss.
  • Pour into the prepared pan and cool before cutting into squares.
