  • 1/2 cup Butter (softened)
  • 3/4 cup Brown Sugar
  • 1/4 cup Granulated Sugar
  • 1 large Egg
  • 1 teaspoon Vanilla Extract
  • 1 1/4 cups All-Purpose Flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon Baking Soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon Salt
  • 1 cup Chocolate Chips (plus milk chocolate chunks for garnish)

Instructions

  • Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • Cream together butter and sugars for brownie layer until light and fluffy.
  • Add eggs, mixing well after each addition, and stir in vanilla.
  • Combine dry ingredients for brownie and fold in chocolate chips.
  • Pour batter into a greased baking pan.
  • Cream butter and sugars for cookie layer and mix in egg and vanilla.
  • Blend dry ingredients into cookie dough and fold in chocolate chips.
  • Drop cookie dough over brownie batter, spreading evenly.
  • Bake for 28 to 32 minutes, let cool before cutting.

Notes

Cool Brookies completely before cutting for best results.
For cleaner slices, chill in the freezer for 20-30 minutes.
