- 1/2 cup Butter (softened)
- 3/4 cup Brown Sugar
- 1/4 cup Granulated Sugar
- 1 large Egg
- 1 teaspoon Vanilla Extract
- 1 1/4 cups All-Purpose Flour
- 1/2 teaspoon Baking Soda
- 1/2 teaspoon Salt
- 1 cup Chocolate Chips (plus milk chocolate chunks for garnish)
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Cream together butter and sugars for brownie layer until light and fluffy.
- Add eggs, mixing well after each addition, and stir in vanilla.
- Combine dry ingredients for brownie and fold in chocolate chips.
- Pour batter into a greased baking pan.
- Cream butter and sugars for cookie layer and mix in egg and vanilla.
- Blend dry ingredients into cookie dough and fold in chocolate chips.
- Drop cookie dough over brownie batter, spreading evenly.
- Bake for 28 to 32 minutes, let cool before cutting.
Notes
Cool Brookies completely before cutting for best results.
For cleaner slices, chill in the freezer for 20-30 minutes.
Use aluminum pans for even cooking.
