  • 1½ cups blueberries, fresh or frozen
  • 1/3 cup all-purpose flour
  • 6 tablespoons butter, cold and cubed
  • 1/3 cup light brown sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon

Instructions

  • Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F and grease a 9"x13" baking pan.
  • Fill the pan with cubed French bread.
  • In a bowl, whisk together eggs, milk, maple syrup, and vanilla until combined.
  • Pour the custard mixture over the bread, pressing down to soak.
  • Distribute cream cheese and blueberries evenly.
  • In a bowl, mix flour, butter, brown sugar, and cinnamon to create streusel.
  • Sprinkle streusel over the mixture, cover with plastic wrap, and refrigerate for 4-48 hours.
  • Remove from the fridge, bring to room temperature and bake for about 1 hour until golden brown.

Notes

Using stale bread enhances the texture.
Fresh berries can be swapped for a variety of fruits.
