- 250g (about 9 oz) digestive biscuits (or graham crackers)
- 100g (about 7 tablespoons) butter, melted
- 1 can (400g) sweetened condensed milk
- 3 ripe bananas
- 300ml (about 1.25 cups) heavy whipping cream
- 2 tablespoons powdered sugar (optional)
- 50g (about 1.75 oz) dark chocolate, shaved (optional)
Instructions
- Crush the digestive biscuits into fine crumbs.
- Mix crumbs with melted butter until combined.
- Press the mixture into a pie dish and refrigerate for 30 minutes.
- Boil the sweetened condensed milk for 2 hours or heat in a saucepan until thickened.
- Pour the toffee over the chilled biscuit base and let cool for 30 minutes.
- Slice the bananas into thin rounds and layer them over the toffee.
- Whip the heavy cream and spread it over the banana layer.
- Shave dark chocolate on top for garnish.
- Chill in the refrigerator for at least 2 hours and serve.
Notes
Use perfectly ripe bananas for the best sweetness.
Adjust the sweetness of whipped cream to your taste when adding powdered sugar.
